Referee Need to Know:
- All referees and stand-by referees must report to the referee tent at least 20 minutes prior to their first assignment each day (in proper referee uniform).
- Referee not present at their assigned field 10 minutes prior to game time will be replaced by standby referee.
- Late arriving referees must report to the referee tent for stand-by duty and may not dismiss referees already at the field.
- All referees must have a referee jersey, black shorts and black referee socks. No other uniforms will be allowed.
- Assistant referees must provide their own flags. Obtain a set from your region if needed.
- All referees must wear a watch. Cell phones will not be allowed for time keeping.
- Game length: 10U & 12U – 46 minutes, 14U – 60 minutes
- Coaches must sign game cards immediately after the match to verify substitutions marked.
- Bring game cards to the referee tent immediately after the match, no exceptions.
- All misconduct requires a written report immediately after the match. This includes red & yellow cards as well as spectator expulsions.
- Referee is responsible for knowing the teams scheduled to play and verifying that the correct teams are playing on their field.
- Game cards to be marked by referee with winning/losing team designations as shown on the schedule (i.e. 68B not “red team”).
- Pool play games may finish in a tie. If assigned to a semi-final or final game you need to know the tie breaker procedure.
- Read playoffs rules before Saturday. Be familiar with all 10U and 12U PDI rules. Both available below
